Our photo booth mentioned in South West wedding magazine!

pic/ Our bride and groom Mr & Mrs Bater on their lovely wedding day.

We were delighted to see one of our previous weddings featured in a top south west wedding magazine this winter and how lovely it was to see the beautiful photographs of the day as taken by Charlotte Dart.

Mr and Mrs Bater’s (Dave & Georgia’s) wedding at the stunning Langdon Court in Plymouth was featured in last month’s issue of “Your Devon & Cornwall Wedding”. What a fantastic article!

Just like many of our couples, Dave and Georgia enjoyed the romance of a winter wedding with earlier darker evenings for more twinkles and sparkles and cozy open fires. There’s no better place to warm those chilly winter cockles than in the cozy warm comfort of a fun photo booth! 🙂

Our white wedding photo booth was their pick – a favourite with our brides and grooms for their winter weddings.

pic/ feature page of the magazine – lovely to see our photo booth and guestbook were enjoyed too!

Our huge thanks to Dave and Georgia for making us a part of their special day!

Congratulations on your gorgeous wedding and your first anniversary

on the 15th December! And thank you for giving Yellowbooth a mention in the magazine!

With all our love from Caz and Laurence of Yellowbooth!

Happy Magic Mirror selfies & memories at the Hotel Endsleigh

The last time we were booked to deliver a Magic Mirror to the Hotel Endsleigh – we fell in love! With the Hotel Endsleigh.

To set the scene…

It was a dark night in early November and it was raining pretty heavily.

The local roads between Okehampton where we are based and the Hotel Endsleigh near Tavistock were full of water.

It was a SPLASH FEST driving over to Mr& Mrs B’s wedding reception. But on you drive until you get there and start making the magic happen! 🙂

Upon arriving at the venue, we parked up and ran for cover to avoid getting completely soaked.

The moment we opened the front door to the house, a great big welcoming glow greeted us.

At every turn there were beautifully dressed ladies holding beautifully dressed babies and toddlers.

Everyone smiled at us and we felt like we were at home.

The people who work at the Hotel Endsleigh were, as we have always found them, so welcoming and helpful!

There was a small room called “The Quiet Room” which was to be our destination for the evening and became anything but!!

It was packed with furniture and art books – all heavy – which would be moved when the busy staff had finished

delivering long stacks of chairs out of one room and into another. So helpful.

We started thinking about how the Mirror would look best in the room and helped to move some furniture items and covered others with white tablecloths and fancy dress props.

The effect was smart and welcoming when everything was in its place.

After the speeches, wedding guests appeared and disappeared with their selfies in their hands and one in the guest book along with fun messages.

Pic/ The highlight of the night for us was when Emma the bride popped the big elephant head on for a photo with her handsome groom in his Elvis rubber head!

We could hear the band playing at the other end of the house. Their music was unbelievable and we enjoyed hearing them in the background. Live music is definitely a perk of the job!

Loads of guests of all ages congregated for large group photos with the Magic Mirror –

and they all took a copy of the photo home with them!

What a fun memento of the wedding day!

Some guests had a fistful of photos as they returned for photos with their nearest and dearest.

pic/ Bubbly anyone?

At the end of the night, as the guests had sipped by now a few glasses of bubbles,

our Magic Mirror pack away was simple as can be!

What with the band being so good, flying through their end of session rock numbers –

everyone was busy dancing the night away and continuing to enjoy the amazing night

and didn’t even notice our disappearance!

(And the rain held off nicely for a bit of sparkler fun!)

What a great night!

A week and a bit later, we were so chuffed when these kind words arrived in a lovely email from our bride and groom, Mr & Mrs B!

“Just wanted to write to say the most enormous thank you

for all the hard work you did for us on our wedding day.

You both worked incredibly hard and everyone loved the magic mirror.

We have absolutely loved and laughed our heads off looking through the photos.

The props were amazing, the photos incredible and we loved that everyone got to

keep a memory of the day and we did too in our fabulous guest book.

It was such a fantastic way of getting people to send us a message with a little reminder of them.

It was so well put together.

We don’t know what to say, you were both absolutely amazing!

Thankyou for everything. 😊. With our thanks and very best wishes,

Mr and Mrs B. Xx”

To sum up, the Hotel Endsleigh is a magnificent Devon country house that is famous for it’s gardens

is an amazing wedding venue packed with atmosphere,

accommodation

and

delicious plates of food!

I think it is a contender with the others to rival Downton Abbey for stunning location to get married in!

If you would like more information on booking a Magic Mirror or a photo booth for your wedding, please call us on 0800 7720325 or go online and check our packages and prices here.

Spacious and spectacular – getting married in style at St Audries Park

pic/ the impressive and remarkable St Audries Park in Somerset!

Downton Abbey watch out! We have another incredible wedding venue to match it on style, atmosphere and sheer omnipotence!

If St Audries Park is not on your radar just yet, we promise it soon will be!! It is a SPECTACULAR wedding venue in Somerset and is a special place with what we all in the wedding industry like to call loads of WOW factor!

pic/ St Audries Park win the Best Coastal Wedding Venue category award 2019!

Great news! Our CONGRATULATIONS to the venue on winning the Coastal Wedding Venue category this year!

And more news that we’re excited about is that we, Yellowbooth , are based in the south west and are suppliers of photo booths and Magic Mirrors to St Audries Park!

We have had our photo booths booked on a number of occasions over at St Audries Park and we absolutely love the aged atmosphere and classiness of the venue.

pic/ Thank you for booking us! Mr & Mrs Crockford in our photo booth (located at the foot of the staircase)

At every event here we have been thrilled by the weddings we’ve been a part of. We’ve played a part in the most exciting of evening receptions/parties – with each individual night completely unique to all others.

pic/ The Main Hall – a relaxing spot during the day and the life and soul of the house at night!

Come the evening, the dancing happens in the vast Main Hall – I believe the DJ is the venue’s resident DJ or son who are very nice – the sound acoustics are fantastic – we’ve also been booked a couple of times when there’s been a dance band on.

With or without a band – you’ll have a great night I can promise that!! 🙂

The DJ and band set up to the left of the Hall beneath the Minstrels gallery.

There’s plenty of space to work out your preferences without running into problems of people getting cramped up which can sometimes happen at the smaller wedding venues. But not here at St Audries Park! Space galore for all your personal touches like your gift table, candy cart, LOVE letters or your memories boards.

pic/ Exciting night time activities at St Audries Park!

This beautiful big Mansion has the feel and atmosphere of a castle when it’s dark outside and is a wondrous place to be! More often than not we’ve all been summoned into the gardens to enjoy the fireworks display as the midnight hour beckons.

pic/ our Midnight black photo booth is always the most popular choice for weddings at St Audries Park.

Our photo booths are very versatile and can go anywhere they are welcome.

We’ve been in the piano lounge – the first room on the left as you go into the main hall through the main entrance way or there has been enough space to get a photo booth frenzy going beneath the stair case.

Our one and only New years Eve party was here at St Audries Park and it was amazing! What a spectacular place to be to see in the New Year!

pic/ Fun in the booth guaranteed! As well as outside of it!

A classy wedding venue with a sea view ticks many a box especially as St Audries Park WON the 2019 British Weddings Awards for ‘best coastal wedding venue’.

pic/We love returning to St Audries for the sea view across the Bristol Channel and the amazing 10 acre deer park!

In a nutshell, this is a venue ideal for wedding parties out of the Bristol and Somerset regions. So far our brides and grooms have all been local from as far north as Burnham on Sea but the West Quantoxhead location is a popular seaside area with Minehead and Dunster not too far a journey away.

pic/ Decorated in your colour theme, what a perfectly lit location for to say “I do”

Looking for a special location for your wedding ceremony? What more of a gorgeous location could there be than The Orangery for a wedding civil ceremony.

pic/ you can’t beat four poster accommodation at St Audries Park

Ideally, if you have a large wedding party, there is plenty of space to put them up for the night!

Luxury accommodation in house is for around 100 lucky guests staying for between one two two nights stay on the estate.

pic/ The wedding breakfast room at St Audries – where the culinary magic takes place!

A great choice of venue for the bigger wedding, there is a banqueting hall that can seat up to 130 guests. You can even take your wedding to another level by hiring the whole house for up to 250 guests.

If we are comparing St Audries Park to Downton Abbey – I would have to say – the Somerset wedding venue looks particularly respectable! It’s a fantastic place!

We have a wedding award of our own to bring to the party in the wedding entertainment category – as voted by our brides and grooms.

If you are planning on getting married at St Audries, please can we come too? It would be amazing to come back!

A magnificent Cornish romantic wedding venue!

Here in the gorgeous South West we are not short of a FABULOUS wedding venue or twenty!

All sizes of wedding venue are available – great and small – from the more intimate of spaces to the huge sprawling country house pile – and of both, the bride and the groom to be are spoiled for choice.

pic/ the enigmatic romantic hideaway that is Scorrier House!

For the couple getting married in need of a large wedding venue with the WOW factor on the Downton Abbey spectrum, we present to you eighteenth century Scorrier House in the county of Cornwall – Cornwall’s most romantic wedding venue.

As jobbing Yellowbooth photoboothers for many busy years, we have been booked at Scorrier House on several occasions – each time was UNIQUE because the wedding was unique!

pic/ our stylish black photo booth as booked at Scorrier House.

On the first occasion, it was a lovely sunny day and one of our photo booths was hired for a wedding reception at the house, the wedding breakfast took place at the adjacent marquee and the main hall was the place to be in the evening! The stylish black photobooth was booked and set up to the left of the main hall with Australian themed props. The guests all seemed to enjoy watching our viewing screen and were kept entertained all evening long – purely just enjoying watching the fun that the other guests were getting up to. End of the evening a pizza van appeared! It was very popular!!

On another occasion we found ourselves returning to Scorrier House, with everything from the wedding breakfast to the evening reception happening in the central space of the magnificent main hall. We set up the photo booth in the same corner as last time. This time we found we were slightly short on space but made sure everyone enjoyed having a photo or two for the couple’s guestbook.

The next time we were booked, we tried setting up in the entrance way of the Scorrier House – just outside of the main party room but an ideal location for catching passers by. Due to lack of space, we were game to try an alternative spot – and it worked a treat! The family and friends loved the vw camper photo booth and loved the hospitality of Scorrier House!

About the house … it really is an amazing find and situated within 400 acres of park land toward the western end of Cornwall. Easy location for popping across to the beach at Porthowan – just 3 miles away with other popular spots like the Minack Theatre, the Eden Project and Falmouth a short journey away.

The history of the house is fascinating and begin its days as the home of the mining tycoon John William’s home from 1780. It has remained a Williams family home 5 generations on with Richard and Caroline living on the estate. The couple have 15 years experience in the wedding game and are there to help make your wedding day run smoothly. I met Caroline and she’s a lovely lady.

To help share the atmosphere of Scorrier House post as well as pre your wedding, there is enough room for around 20 guests both at the house and at Stable house on the grounds.

Pic/ The Main Hall civil ceremony location of Scorrier House

Your wedding ceremony can either take place in the Main Hall with those famous stairs or outside in the sunshine. The house provides the perfect backdrop and blank canvas onto which to base your ideas and inspiration upon.

Pic/ An iron gate into the bluebell woods at Scorrier House

Scorrier House is one of the most impressive wedding venues that Cornwall has to offer and is definitely one that the family at Downton Abbey would spend their weekend away in any day of the week!

If you are interested in Scorrier House for your wedding and would love to have a look round – I have added several links to their website. If you would be interested in hiring a certain photo booth company to pop along for your evening entertainment – we’d love to join you! Please call us on 0800 7720325 or visit our website for a quote and to check our availability by clicking here.

During the evening, this turns into a popular spot once guests spot us as they explore the house and the grounds following their delicious wedding breakfast.

Everything you could possibly think of will be effortlessly taken care off by the efficient house team so you can rest assured they have your back with support on the actual day. We have always found the staff here so friendly and welcoming which is lovely at a wedding venue.

pic/ Fancy a sip?

There is a choice of location for your wedding ceremony (outdoor terrace or stately dining room) and a ballroom that can comfortably accommodate up to 160 guests at tables.

The 100 acres of grounds that surround Rockbeare are spectacularly vast – you can see for miles with huge skies to make the picture complete. There is a cosy front lounge – with couches around the fireplace – so homely (in a more grand sort of way!).

The bonus is the array of bedrooms available for wedding party guests – thirteen large luxury rooms are available – packed with an air of luxury and charm! For more info on the rooms click here

pic/ Joy of joys! Snooker lovers are in for a treat too as there is a complete snooker room with full size table to while away those smaller hours.

Huntsham Court – for an intimate but MAGNIFICENT wedding!

For the bride & groom who’d LOVE to HOST a Downton Abbey style wedding in grand surroundings but on a more intimate level, Huntsham Court puts the dream into reality.

If you would love the style and comfort of a a sprawling pile but prefer the cozy intimacy of a country house, then LOOK NO FURTHER than the inimitable Huntsham Court in Tiverton near Exeter in Devon.

Close to Exeter and only a 2 hour train ride from London, Huntsham is a large and very comfortable mansion house set in 5 acres of gardens. To top that, it is a magnificent Grade II listed building that dates back to the mid nineteenth century.

When you visit, you can’t help but imagine the many visitors to the house over the years and not to mention the lovely weddings that have taken place here too. The house has featured in a lot of people’s stories over the years – lords and ladies, grooms and brides, rock stars and the cast from Made in Chelsea. Could it be the setting for your wedding too?

Huntsham Court – Through the eyes of a visiting Photo booth company….

Our photo booths have been popular at Huntsham Court for several years and have returned to weddings on a number of occasions in all of the seasons and we have experienced those later atmospheric hours of our weddings. The bits of the day that can only be planned to some extent.

It’s like teaching a child to ride a bike, you can hold on to stop them falling but at some stage, you have to let them go. A party has a life of its own but with the right entertainment with the right people the party will be a success. 🙂

We arrive when the party gets started and help to get all the guests in the mood for a good night with some fun in the photo booth and carry on up towards the chimes of midnight.

But the wedding that stands out in my mind is the year of a delicious winter wedding at Huntsham Court… there were tears and laughs and it went something like this….

“We (our company Yellowbooth) were due to turn on the photo booth at 7pm and so arrived at Huntsham at the usual one hour early time of 6pm.

There was a crisp frost on the ground when we arrived and we’d had snow fairly recently so the ground was white and made that crunchy noise. Arriving at the house we instantly felt Christmassy and in the mood for a glass of warm mulled wine!

There were big glowing L.O.V.E letters that greeted us on our arrival during that chilly dark evening. Well, L.O.V letters to be exact as the E had toppled over. Perhaps a wild bunny had knocked it. We popped it back up to look exactly as it should.

Then we opened the big wooden front door – to find as well as the lively party noises that welcomed us, the warmth of the house overcame us like a big cozy cuddle. Honestly we felt like we’d come home and I think that’s what we all want our guests to feel. Huntsham Court delivered that, well and truly on that winter’s evening in that particular new year! More about our experiences at Huntsham later on.”

But is the house big enough for your Wedding party?

Well, the house sleeps 92 with 40 lovely comfy rooms up for grabs for your guests.

Huntsham Court hire out the venue for a 2 day wedding which makes for ample time for everyone to settle in, catch up with each other and enjoy a wedding – before, during and after! Ideal.

I loved the fact that upon further investigation that you can hire Huntsham Court ‘dry’ and bring in your own caterers as well as cater for the breakfast and main meal needs and drinks of your guests yourselves if you so wish. Alternatively, use their caterers.

The team at the venue are happy to assist you with the structuring of a 2 day event. Sometimes it’s tricky to know when to start but once you get started you can’t stop! Here’s the link to some very helpful planning hints here.

And most importantly, there is an incredible choice of where you would like your wedding ceremony to take place. Amidst the Jacobean panelling in the main hall, outside under a marquee or at the stunning All Saints Church a stiff walk away from the main house.Spoiled for choice so that you can have the perfect day to suit you both.

pic/ green screen with sepia for that TIMELESS quality to the photos

“Going back to this lovely winter wedding we took our black photo booth along to at Huntsham… as well as plenty of laughs – which we are used to, there were a lot of tears (which we are NOT used to!).

After the speeches, lots of guests headed over to us sobbing.

Not the reaction that we would hope to get when guests see us at the photo booth or Magic Mirror!

But we found out that the bride and groom were moving away to another country and their guests were absolutely devastated that they wouldn’t be able to see them so much.

Every wedding is so completely different and this particular one will always stay with me because we really felt the love in the room for the happily and newly married couple about to start their life together abroad. you couldn’t help but feel a bit sad too.

Now, a bit about our photo booths at Huntsham Court… our stylish black or white wedding photo booths have been the popular choice at Huntsham Court as with many local stylish events that we attend in Devon.

Our speciality is our indoor vw style booth with fabulous Green Screen Extreme but if preferred are also compatible to go plain but stylish with a white or black backdrop.

Brides, grooms and their guests often love nothing better than to crank up a notch their photo booth experience with choices of green screen backdrops. Look at the screen and Las Vegas will appear or a heart or a rustic brick wall and any second now will print out too!

We tailor our booths to suit all our events.

Our booths come in white wedding white (which looks amazing next to the wood panelling at Huntsham), midnight black, white, duck egg blue and lime green vintage vw camper style. We additionally offer a personalised guestbook and heart boards.

The preferred location for the photo booth or the Magic Mirror is to the right of the main entrance way (as in the photo – where the sofa is) to the side of the staircase. A perfect self contained space and separate area to the dancing room. 🙂 Here people can find you very easily and nip in for a quick fun photo to add to your guest book.

If you would like to get married Downton Abbey style and are planning to have your wedding at Huntsham Court, we’d love you to consider inviting us along too.

We are a family company that has been running for over 6 years and we are a photo booth company that is local to the Huntsham Court/ Tiverton/ Exeter region.

Lewtrenchard Manor – for a West Devon wedding to remember!

Lewtrenchard Manor is a great big sprawling 16th century manor house situated in the beautiful rolling hills of West Devon on the edge of local tourist attraction Dartmoor. This beautiful wedding venue truly gives Downton Abbey a run for it’s money in terms of heritage, style and charisma.

And brides and grooms to be, the Manor can be your’s for your BIG day!

Lewtrenchard has a great reputation for many reasons, namely for the weddings that it hosts, it’s fine dining events, for the stunning gardens that surround the Manor and for being located in the lush West Devon countryside that we are close to at Yellowbooth HQ.

Stepping foot inside the entrance hall feels like stepping back in time. Instantly you feel this is the place that you definitely want to be in and where you can imagine your wedding taking place. Lewtrenchard with it’s history and its charm will enchant you and your wedding guests. And there is an ample courtyard packed with historic charisma and beautiful fresh air to drink in alongside your gin and tonic.

The manor offers modestly sized rooms that are ideal for a variety of functions with an upstairs wedding ceremony room where you will be surrounded by the ornate finery of the historic building and the grand portraits hanging on the walls. There is additionally an outdoors wedding arch that is the perfect spot for a wedding – the guests are seated in the courtyard with a good view of the proceedings.

The house can accommodate a wedding party of up to 78 inside the house but for weddings with guest numbers over and above that, a marquee can be erected on the grounds.

There is a large party room complete with a yummy chandelier and tall ceilings and a comfortable separate bar room.

All about the house there are corners to retire to for those quiet moments – perfect for those older members of the wedding party – many of which are close to a welcoming  fireplace.

To conclude, Lewtrenchard Manor, in my humble opinion could rival Downton Abbey in terms of its history (it’s even a few hundred years older!) and character and the perfect location to book for your wedding!

When you do visit Lewtrenchard Manor and fall hopelessly in love with it (as I guarantee that you will) and decide to get married here, please do consider inviting us along too. 🙂

Our white wedding photo booth looks perfect in whichever corner you’d like it!
