Boringdon Hall … a spectacular wedding venue!
Friday night was a lovely end of summer Devon evening and the wedding guests were enjoying the Best Man’s speech out on the lawns in front of the main entrance of Boringdon Hall. I don’t think there could have been any grander a setting for Miacalla & Mike’s wedding day!
While the guests were being suitably distracted by the jokes and the traditional roasting of the groom, magician Chris & I were able to magically nip into the Hall and set up the vw camper booth up the stairs in the nook without anyone noticing.
Who let the horse in?
When the guests began arriving for the evening reception, it was the children who found the booth hardest to resist followed on shortly by the bridesmaids and the mums!
The beautiful bride, Miacalla and ladies in the booth!
When the bride Miacalla arrived everything stopped, not only because we were admiring how amazing she looked but because her gown was so voluminous, the whole of the corridor was filled with fluffy white fabric!
Those sombreros were striking!
The horse’s head went down a storm as did the beautiful gold trimmed sombreros that arrived via one of the guests. The evening flew with such a great buzz in the air contributed largely by the brilliant band The Edge. They were such a great band performing contemporary tunes with some classics thrown in (Mr Blue Sky by ELO was fantastic!!) and really hope to see them again soon!
I would highly recommend Boringdon Hall for the perfect grand setting for a wedding. The house dates back to King Charles I time – how amazing is that?! Most importantly, you will feel completely at home here as the wedding team were all so super friendly and welcoming!
Our warmest of congratulations to the bride & groom. Thank you for booking us and allowing us to be a part of your special day!
