Carbis Bay Photo Booth- dream wedding reception!

carbis bay hotel

Wendy & Jason’s wedding was at the Carbis Bay Hotel in St Ives, Cornwall

Last night was such an amazing night!

We found ourselves at the lovely wedding of Wendy & Jason Holt at the Carbis Bay Hotelโ€‹ in sunny (but very blustery!) St Ives in Cornwall.

The newlyweds’ friends and family were from all over – mainly Wales and Cornwall – the couple live in Wiltshire – everyone enjoyed themselves – that was obvious to tell when we first turned up and before the photo booth was even up and running.

There was an impressive tower of coloured cheeses with a view to die for behind it. Oh why didn’t I take a picture of it to show you?! ย It was a remarkable construction of cheeses… something to be seen to be believed!!

The disco was provided by the very lovely Terry & Tony of New Dimension Disco from Wiltshire. They were amazing and certainly got the party going!! We would definitely recommend them to anyone! Such nice people.

The staff were really friendly too and so helpful in getting things up and running as promptly as possible. We are in your debt! ๐Ÿ™‚

At 8pm we switched on the booth and over 300 pics were taken! What a laugh! ๐Ÿ™‚

Everyone had a really really good time – inside ( & outside ) the VW camper photo booth!

Our warmest congratulations to the happy couple – we had such a good laugh with all your wedding guests and really wish we could do it all over again!!

Budleigh Salterton Photo Booth – Jo & Flo’s big seaside 18th birthday bash!

seaside postcard

I do like to be beside the seaside…

Today has been such a lovely day for a wedding! But, whilst there were a number of weddings taking place across Devon today (and Laurence was at one of them – that of Jon & Rachel at Dartington Hall at Totnes), luckily for me, I’m over by the seaside in Budleigh Salterton for the huge birthday celebration of Flora McKinney & Joanne Saunders.

Flo & Jo

The Djs were setting up as we arrived to set up the booth in the huge marquee located at the back of the house. After deciding on the perfect spot for the photo booth – one where the slope wasn’t too dramatic but still a slope – we got the booth up to some old school reggae tunes. Perfect! We met Flo & Jo for the first time and Flo made Laurence a nice cup of tea. So nice! ๐Ÿ™‚

At about 7pm the guests began to arrive wearing fabulous masquerade masks as well as evening dress – as things looked, this party was elegance personified. The music was banging, the atmosphere buzzing and the champagne and canapes began doing the rounds.

Flo & Jo people

Party people in the photo booth.

Just before 8pm, the photo booth stepped into action and everyone showed their appreciation of it immediately. In other words, they loved it!!

The hog roast was ready half way into the night and everyone loved that too! And then, before I knew it, it was 11pm and time to close the booth and pack away.

Flo & Jo's marquee

The party keeps going … even while I pack away.

What a lovely surprise…. at the end of my shift (but by no means the end of the party,) whilst packing up I was in a state of shock when Joanne’s sister Katie approached me offering help to carry all the gear up to the van. This never ever happens as everyone is having such a good time they don’t usually even notice we are packing away – or notice we have gone. Katie convinced me asserting that she’s a strong rugby player and boy, it didn’t take long when I watched her lifting my heavy bags as though they were light as a feather. Hooray the girls!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy 18th Jo & Flo!

Katie & Tom’s fabulous wedding at Coombe Lodge!

Katie & Tom – our lovely bride & groom!

What a great way to spend a fabulously sunny Easter Sunday… getting married in style as Tom & Katie did!

Coombe lodge Blagdon

Coombe Lodge in Blagdon – top Somerset wedding venue!!

We enjoyed a leisurely a trip over to sunny Somerset’s vast wedding venue, Coombe Lodge in Blagdon. A vast stately home with views to die for – these views got even more dreamy when the sky became painted in blazing red for a stunning sunset. Those wedding photographs are going to be amazing… I can’t wait to check them out on West Photography’s website.

A good time was had by all!

The booth was really busy throughout the night as 150 fun loving wedding guests got into the spirit, loaded up with as many fancy dress props as they could carry and posed away to their hearts’ content.

He wears it well … half the prop box to be exact!

A big apology to the poor man who attempted to wear about half the props box before being apprehended by our booth butler…me! Dopey me… I thought he was planning on doing ‘a runner’ with the props (as tends to happen from time to time) when all he was doing was dressing up for his big photo opportunity in the booth. I’m glad I didn’t put him off! The pictures were great, as you can see!!

Congratulations and a big thank you to Tom & Katie for booking our white wedding photo booth for your evening! And a warm thank you for feeding my half starving partner Laurence with tasty offerings from your fantastic burger bar. The best burger he’s eaten in a long time!!
