The Bride & Groom’s first dance

When we arrived at the Holiday Inn and were shown the huge Mariner’s Suite – the location of Dale & Lou Scott’s wedding reception – it brought back memories of the last time we were here. Last May we brought the VW camper booth along for the wedding of lovely couple  Hannah & Ed – we had such a lovely time then as we did last Saturday and here we were back again with the camper photo booth.

Right at the start, stylish Dale popped over to introduce himself. What a nice bloke! He told us that normally, he and Lou don’t go in for photos very much but decided to really push the boat out for their wedding with not only a photo booth but a professional portrait photographer. I hope they’ve got plenty of wall space at home because hundreds of pics were taken! To be more exact, we printed out over 400 fun filled action packed pics!! Louise was stunning in her bridal gown… her train went on forever! After we’d set up the photo booth we must have looked like we needed feeding as Lou was insistent that we get stuck into the Holiday Inn’s delicious buffet.

was choc-a-blok with picture strips.

A demonstration of what a great time everyone had!

All the photos taken in the photo booth are now fully loaded and ready to go on the Yellow booth online gallery. To view and share any of the pics taken on the night – click here! Ps I’d call up a few friends, get in a bottle of fizz and some nibbles & make another party of it!! 🙂

Andy’s 21st birthday blast … and Timberlake came too!

Andy

Before we’d even met Andy, we knew he’d be our kind of person!

We arrived at the princely Duke of Cornwall hotel (the oldest hotel in Plymouth) early Saturday evening.

As we loaded our booth equipment into the party room (carefully avoiding a collision with the bakers and their beautiful birthday cake), we chatted to Andy’s Mum and Dad about the family and how the theatre is a big deal in the Statton household. We love the theatre too – Laurence was in ‘Oliver’ back in the days of black & white tellies and 7 inch singles and our family practically live at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre (these days we’re more likely to be found nibbling on a quiche during the summer season at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall).

Everyone had such a good time – family, school friends, the drama club … us! How could you miss with such a lovely host, the DJ playing all the show tunes …. and Justin Timberlake!

And That Cake!

Not only did it look amazing – each tier of loveliness decorated with bite sized posters of shows that have had an impact on Andy’s life – musicals that he’s starred in himself and favourite ones too – wow! It tasted AMAZING!! I take my cake tasting responsibilities very seriously – and these bakers, Viva Las Cakes are up there with the Cake Boss!

Andys friends

What a night! The photo booth didn’t stop for a moment all evening – there are loads and loads of pictures to laught at!!

Thank you so much for booking Yellowbooth, Andy! It was great to meet you. Caz & Laurence xx

Megs & Tim’s stunning wedding at Bovey Castle

Bovey Castle

Fancy an impressive wedding venue? I give you Bovey Castle

Saturday night We took the VW camper booth along to Bovey Castle on Dartmoor to (hopefully) add to the fun of Megs and Tim Hallinan’s wedding party.

Wow! Bovey Castle is vast. Ducking and diving the golf balls, the long drive up to the impressive wedding venue is full of anticipation and awe. We imagined Megs being driven up to her groom within such grand surroundings – it must have been so exciting for everyone. An unforgettable experience.

After a lovely sunny day, we rolled up at Bovey Castle in the blustery rainy evening and were immediately provided with a nice cup of coffee to warm us up. We met the band ‘Hipster’ who’d arrived at the same time as us but who had a much longer drive than us having come all the way from Manchester!

The Dartmoor Suite looked stunning in candlelight with a great party atmosphere from the moment the wedding guests began to trickle in. The party kicked off at around 7pm with plenty of fun in the booth until the bride & groom’s first dance. My favourite bit of the whole night. I’m a sucker for the first dance at a wedding!

The happy bride & groom!

Later on, rumour had it the hog roast was open for business and in two ticks the function room became a ghost town. We joined the party goers queueing up for delicious food – thanks to our generous bride and groom.

Normally we’re booked for 3 hours but were up for a massive 5 hours – the booth stopped only the once the whole night whilst everyone tucked in to the evening food – oh doesn’t the time fly when you’re enjoying yourself?

To Mr & Mrs Hallinan, thank you so much for booking us! This didn’t feel like work! x
