A perfect wedding at Polhawn Fort!

Introducing Mr & Mrs Crutchley

While everyone in the rest of the UK was doing battle with all the chaos that snow brings, Sophie and her brand new hubbie, Addie, were enjoying their perfect wedding day in sunny Cornwall!

Polhawn Fort – a romantic wedding hideaway!

The wedding party came down from Birmingham swapping the busy city for the calm and quiet of Polhawn Fort nr Torpoint. With stunning views of the sea – all you could see for miles were rugged coastline, boats and sky.

We haven’t been to Polhawn Fort before – it’s a stunning wedding venue – as well as the drama of the secluded fort, standing (for centuries) on the rugged coast it was all romantic looking with red bricks, white lace, fairy lights and candles. The food was fantastic as were the cornish pasties laid out on the buffet table later on. The best we’ve had for a long time! ūüôā

Elvis has NOT left the building…

The wedding party were really friendly people who were up for a good laugh in the booth – our new Elvis foam wig went down a storm I noticed!

We had a laugh after our stint at the party under a romantic full moon, pushing our equipment back up the steep hill to load into the van. At least, Laurence was pushing the heavy trolley with the booth on it and I was pushing him!! Not sure what was pushing me – probably that pastie I was noshing on earlier!

It was lovely meeting the bride and groom of our very first wedding of 2015. We know you’re going to be very happy!

Sophie & Addie – we know you’re enjoying your guest book.

Tea & lemon cake at North Cadbury Court’s big anniversary party!

Catherine and John silver

Catherine & John enjoying the photo booth, again.

Following on from our booking in Plymouth during the weekend,¬†we headed over to Somerset,¬†where I would set up a booth at the¬†big Silver wedding anniversary party¬†of Catherine & John at¬†North Cadbury Court¬†and Laurence was at a lovely¬†wedding in Ilchester’s Northover Manor.

North Cadbury Court

North Cadbury House

…is a vast stately home¬†type building set in its own grounds –¬†Catherine¬†& John and guests had moved in for a few days.¬†They had a fab party

complete with a grand sit down meal with speeches, a funky dance band and a photo booth Рand what a night!

The photo booth was set up in the grand hallway complete with grand staircase and

disapproving faces (I suspect they were former residents North Cadbury Court and secretly wish they could have had  photo booth instead

of a banquet or a state ball!) in the giant oil paintings on the walls.

lemon drizzle cake

Yes please!

One of the things I will always remember North Cadbury Court for, is the lemon drizzle cake to die for that the resident cook made for afternoon tea.

Catherine kindly insisted that we partake of the tasty offerings of quiche, proper finger sandwiches, strawberry jam & clotted cream on

scones and some knockout¬†lemon drizzle cake¬†we’ve ever tried. ¬†Wow – hope we get to go back some day! (soon!!)

Thank you so much for booking us for your special party! Caz & Laurence Jones.
