When Amy married Sam…

Kitley House

Kitley House – another amazing wedding venue!

Our trip to Wiltshire was amazing – these people knew how to party the night away. The following week, we were booked a lot closer to home at Amy & Sam’s wedding at Kitley House in Yeolmpton near Plymouth.

Kitley House is a lovely venue – a great big sprawling Victorian style country house in its own grounds.

Amy, Sam and their little man!

It was good to see Amy happy and married in her beautiful wedding gown as we met Amy at her friend Andi’s wedding in Tavistock, earlier on in the year. We were so chuffed she wanted us for her wedding too. It makes you feel as though you’ve done something right!

Our congratulations go out to the bride and groom and family on your fantastic dream day! love Caz & Laurence xx

When an Essex wedding came to the country.

Manor House Castle combe

The Manor House in Castle Combe, Wiltshire – a perfect wedding venue (apart from all those stairs!) 😉

The night in Perranporth was extremely wild and stormy but the following evening – everything had calmed down as we set off for picturesque Castle Combe in Wiltshire for the stunning wedding of Karen and Dan at the impressive Manor House.

When you’re carrying heavy items, you tend to remember things like narrow corridors and tight windy staircases – at this gorgeous wedding venue, there were a number of stone staircases and skinny walkways. But worth it once the party got started as it was such a great night with lovely Essex-y people. I challenge anyone to try not to have a good laugh when you’re working at an Essex party! It can’t be done!

Congratulations to Karen & Dan!! xx

From Malaga to Perranporth!

Windy Perranporth in Cornwall – brollies at the ready!

Last  October was unexpectedly lively. We fancied a week away in the sun and took ourselves off for a holiday in Malaga. It was lovely and just what the doctor ordered.

Afterwards, batteries recharged, we set off for Perranporth for the lovely Cornish wedding reception of Mel & John at the local golf club – but holy moly… what a stormy night!!

There were gale force winds and heavy rains (thank goodness the happy couple were married in hot and sunny Mexico!!). We were set up in the club foyer and helped guests escape the wild weather for the safety of the indoors. Mel herself, wisely turned up in welly boots under her dress. Our congratulations to the happy couple! It was so lovely to meet you! xx

Proud to return to the Stables at Camden!

The walkway up to the venue (lounges, karaoke booths, and more … pole-dancing anyone?)

We love Camden in North London so when the opportunity arose to travel down there, we jumped at it! We brought the photo booth down to the Salt Yard Group’s Christmas Party last year so it was good to see everyone again – partying hard and enjoying a spot of posing in the booth – just as we did last year – the photos were amazing.

Anyone thinking of throwing a party in London should really check out the Proud gallery at the Stables in Camden. It’s an atmospheric venue with an efficient team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

There were a few other similarities – such as the traffic warden who was so hot on our tail as we searched in vain for a parking spot to unload the booth, that he (on his moped) nearly crashed into our van. Luckily though, no traffic wardens were injured in the making of this blog…

Apart from the parking (or lack of it) situation, we enjoyed our ramble round the The Stables courtyards jam packed with stalls with colourful fare, bohemian designer chic and fantastic food from all around the world. The Street Food yard next to the canal is right up our particular street boasting spicy foods in wraps, noodles and stews from Peru, Italy, Vietnam, Turkey and more. If you haven’t been – it comes highly recommended from us – especially if you’re an arty type (like us!) and you like festivals.
