Surf’s up at Fistral Beach wedding !

20140525-IMG_0395Mr & Mrs Turner and friends!

Sunday night (May 25th 2014) we headed over to stunning Fistral Beach for the wedding reception of Sarah & Matt Turner at the Headland Hotel. The surfer dudes were out in force taking to the waves at Newquay in Cornwall – what a good job we were booked to bring the VW campervan with us so we all fitted in nicely!

Thanks to the DJ – who’s no stranger to getting a party started (from what we could tell!) the dancefloor was full ALL NIGHT!!! Bringing to the party lots of games to keep the guests entertained such as the Dirty Dancing competition, Gangnam Style twerkalongs, Elvis singalongs, Tina Turner strut-alongs and star turn of the night, the Elvis maraoke by the groom, Matt, there was never a dull moment. And by the way, the photo booth was a bit of a success too – especially with the little people!

Congratulations Sarah & Matt on your marriage – it was great to meet you! Thank you so much for booking us for your reception.

Wedding bliss in fabulous Falmouth!

Congratulations Tanya & Jules Higgs!

Last Saturday we drove the VW campervan booth over to Restronguet Barton (Mylor) nr Falmouth for the fabulous wedding of Tanya & Jules Higgs! What a couple – really nice people – with a huge bunch of really fun friendly friends & family too!

We arrived at the marquee situated in the middle of a meadow overlooking a horseshoe shaped bay peppered with yachts. Our reaction to the breathtaking view was probably the same as everyone else who’d laid eyes on it for the first time! WOW! With extra BIG bonus, it wasn’t raining here! Everywhere else from Bodmin to Lands End the rain was teeming down, but at the location of Tanya & Jules’ wedding…the weather was fine and perfect.

Tanya was an awesome bride! A fantastic organiser (an organiser by profession) who left no stone unturned when it came to the finer details of her big day. The food was amazing, the band were brilliant and the weather waited till much later on to unleash its gallons of h2o on Falmouth.

Oh and by the way, the guests were completely hooked on the photo booth – they loved it! The photos taken on the night definitely prove it – they can be found on our online gallery – simply click here and select ‘Tanya & Jules’. Grab yourself a glass of wine and visit once more the fun wedding reception of Saturday 24th May 2014.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Higgs! Thank you for booking us on Saturday night! Hope you enjoyed your guest book!

The serene & intimate wedding of Ashley & James Mansfield …

Introducing the absolutely fabulous Mr & Mrs Mansfield!

It was a perfect sunny Saturday evening when we arrived at Ashley & James Mansfield’s wedding at the stunning venue Kilver Court & Gardens at Shepton Mallet in Somerset and thought we’d landed on the set of my favourite wedding film, Four Weddings & a Funeral – not because Hugh Grant and Kristen Scott Thomas were there but because the scenery was so stunning!! We stepped through an ordinary entrance door and were greeted with vision of a vast lake complete with duck houses, blossom trees and smooth lawns and to cap it all a majestic arch laden viaduct as a backdrop. If you haven’t decided on your wedding venue so far, and fancy rural Somerset for your big day, this was one bursting with romance and serenity! The photographs will certainly have the WOW factor!

Our fabulous wedding couple were Ashley & James Mansfield. James the perfect gentleman introducing himself early on and Ashley, our first American bride – full of fun and joy for her big day whom James introduced us to a little bit later on. They were an intimate gathering of happy guests who followed their bride & groom’s lead taking to the white wedding photo booth with enthusiasm and determination!

During the proceedings, Laurence & I grabbed an opportunity to have a look around the gardens – following the trail of love heart shaped confetti (cut from pages of text) to the location of the service. The backdrop was the stunning pond surrounded by the music of birdsong – some pretty wooden chairs were lined up on the grass verge whilst Ashley & James were married in a curious ancient looking candlelit nook. Everywhere we looked, there were pages of text used for bunting and confetti and even the men’s button holes. A lovely extra touch were some personal photos of the happy couple pinned to a ribbon and dangled about the branches of an old spectacular tree.

Congratulations James & Ashley, we hope you have a happy life together – it was so nice meeting you & your guests and to provide your photo booth entertainment for the evening! We hope you enjoyed your guest book.

At the unique vintage wedding of Hannah & Ed Gordon …

The new Mr & Mrs Gordon! Hurrah!

It was holiday time at the Holiday Inn by the Plymouth Hoe last Friday night for the wedding of Hannah & Ed Gordon! Instead of Plymouth we could have easily been in St Tropez the sun was so bright and hot for this very special vintage style wedding by the sea.

What a lovely couple – we got to know Hannah & Ed in no time at all as well as their families from both here in England and Sweden. That’s the best thing about weddings, they bring people together and the music was kept low for most of the night allowing people to get to know one another and talk away before letting go on the dancefloor later on.

I’m very happy to say, the photo booth was a big hit with everyone and the guest book filled up in record time! Hannah & Ed opted for our stylish VW campervan booth not only to fit in with their retro theme but because their wedding car was a VW campervan (in the same colour too!). How great was that?! We were only too happy to help them complete their nostalgic journey.

Other personal touches created by stylish Hannah to the vintage effect were a very characterful suitcase (decorated inside with vintage wallpaper) for the collection of wedding cards, a fabtastic button bouquet (WOW!! I wish I’d taken a picture of it to share with you, it was so nice!) and individually decorated flower pots for table dressings. Hannah, how busy you must have been – we hope you’re enjoying a much deserved rest before you set about your next challenge in life!

Mr & Mrs Gordon, thank you so much for having us along to your brill wedding reception (& thank you for the pasties – they were delicious and much needed!)

A lovely wedding at Carbis Bay …

Happy days!

Last night we drove our handsome VW camper photo booth over the moors to seasidy Carbis Bay near St Ives in Cornwall for the wedding reception of Donna & Caz. And guess what, we all had a  fab ole time of it too!

Just by chance, we arrived at the hotel wedding venue half an hour earlier than planned and had the perfect opportunity to build the booth whilst the wedding party were enjoying the beach. Well, Laurence & I have never moved so fast in our lives – like a pair of Olympic athletes, we were tearing about putting panels and rods together like greased lightning (if I say so myself!! :))

The night was such a laugh – what a party it was. Thank goodness for the photos taken on the night to remind everyone of the good time that was had by all!

The venue for Donna & Caz’s wedding was the Carbis Bay Hotel. The band were called the Motown Pirates and they were amazing! We definately recommend them for your wedding reception! Thank you so much for booking us – we hope to see you again soon!

I’m the King of the photo booth! At Kirsty & Ben’s lovely wedding!

The King of the photo booth!

Last night, on the Sunday before the bank holiday, we took to the curly wurly roads of south west Devon to Salcombe sur Mer for the sailing themed wedding of fabulous Kirsty & her groom Ben Warsop from Caterham.

Oh what a lovely seaside it turned out to be – the perfect location for their wedding day – and what a lovely bunch of ‘up for a giggle’ guests!

We were warned the photo booth was a big surprise for the groom so everything was on the hush hush. All the effort was worthwhile as groom Ben threw himself into booth activities with gusto. He was most definitely the ‘King of the photo booth on the night’!

Thank you so much for booking us to bring along our white wedding photo booth to your perfect wedding reception, Kirsty – it was brilliant to meet you! We hope your guest book gives you as much fun looking through it, as we had putting it together!!

A big thank you too to the staff at the Salcombe Harbour Hotel, especially our wedding co-ordinator Elle George and general manager Jason Parry who were instrumental in ensuring all went smoothly on the day. We hope to meet again!

… on a bicycle made for 2 & the tandem ONLY WENT IN TOO!

The  happy couple!

Last night was the perfect night for a wedding – not a cloud in the sky – the venue, the stunning Orangery at the historic Mount Edgcumbe in Torpoint in Cornwall.

Our bride & groom, Claire & Adam Sainsbury were two of the nicest people you could meet – Adam (who bore a striking resemblance to Derren Brown) had a few tricks up his sleeve too in the photo booth, suggesting I not stick his prints into the guest book to spare my blushes. The naughty boy! His mates proved equally imaginative in the booth dragging the wedding tandem into the booth and anything else they could lay their hands on! We thought ourselves lucky the wedding reception wasn’t taking place on a farm or we’d have spent the night “attending to” cowpats and the like! It was all a good laugh! 🙂

It was just for the 2 hours last night but everyone got into the spirit of dressing up and jumping in!!

At the end of the evening I couldn’t help but wonder if the happy couple did cycle away on ‘a bicycle made for 2’…

Thanks Adam & Claire for having us along on your big fun night! It was fun and we should do it again!
