Mr & Mrs Hudson – Just married!
Last Saturday – the eve of British Summertime we poodled over to an almost puddle-free Somerset. Summertime couldn’t have come at a better time as it was all sun & smiles for the lovely wedding of Ed & Cara Hudson at the Mill on the Brue.
Tempted by the zip line (the venue, as well as offering a perfect wedding location, is a popular outdoors activities retreat for the adventurous!) we managed to resist and took in the views around the Mill as we unloaded. We heard rumours that there was a parrot with the wedding party a situation that seemed to be putting the venue’s 2 cats in a good mood!
But I digress… back to telling you about the big night! We were strategically situated between the candy trolley and the wedding cakes (yes, I said ‘cakes’, I counted 5! It was a display fitting of the final of the Great British Bake-off – Mary Berry would have been proud!) – so you couldn’t miss us! We did our best not to be too distracted from the job in hand – and we managed it – JUST! It was really nice getting to meet Ed & Cara’s wedding guests.
The venue was really really nice – the reception was held at the stunning Longhouse at the Mill, where I keenly observed some big white fluffy clouds – but it was okay as the clouds were made of felt and they were hanging from the ceiling. This is definitely a venue for people who like things a bit different and enjoy originality.A massive thanks to Matt, Paul and the team for helping us with our set-up within a small window of opportunity setting up time between the wedding breakfast and the start of the evening reception! We got there!! It was great to meet you and we hope to see you again soon!
One of the enjoyable things about the photobooth business is the chance to travel to a previously unknown destination taking in the sights as we go. Those around our 3 counties of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall boast some of the best in the country. We love this part of the world and are started to get really familiar with it thanks to recent parties we’ve worked at including Sexey’s School, the Mill@Rode, Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford and Jane & John’s at Street. Taking in Yeovil and Glastonbury, this lovely part of Somerset would make for a really nice holiday destination and is a perfect rural location for a wedding.
A very big thanks to Ed & Cara for booking our white photo booth for your lovely wedding. Enjoy your special future together!
